The city of Albany officially kicked off the fall and winter recreation season at Capital Hills on Monday, highlighting the opening of the Capital Hills Walking Trails for the season.
The golf and pickleball season ended Sunday, but there’s plenty more to do when the cold weather arrives in earnest.
“When it does snow, because we know it inevitably will, this is also a place to come with your families to sled, to snowshoe, to cross-country ski,” said Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan. “This is really a park for everyone.”
The city also welcomed all residents to enjoy the walking trails with their dogs – if they clean up after them.
