The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has stepped up to help children who have lost a parent to cancer or other illness.
Sheriff’s investigators held their annual holiday party last week at The Full Moon Bar and Grill in Queensbury and donated all proceeds to Kelly’s Angels. The owner of Full Moon, Tadd Casey, matched all money raised.
The result was a $6,500 donation to Kelly’s Angels, the Wilton-based charity started by NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland that provides grants to children who’ve lost a parent to cancer or other illness or are currently battling illness.
The Sheriff’s Employee Alliance, the union representing communication officers, maintenance and office staff, also raised $1,000 for Kelly’s Angels by participating in a no-shave program and dress down days.
