New Warren County Administrator John Taflan, 70, has led some of the highest reaches of the federal government, but says he still faces daily leadership challenges.
Taflan was a senior executive at the National Security Agency and on the NSA’s Board of Directors.
The West Point grad has held positions where he’s led as many as 6,000 people. He retired from the military and went to work in human resources at Ohio State University.
He was eventually planning to retire in his native Ohio, but after 9/11 he ended up with another 20-year career defending the country.
