More than 60 Watervliet High School basketball alumni hit the court for an ultimate reunion.

With the girls playing first, followed by the boys, the stands were filled with fans.

Longtime former girls coach, Gordie Johnson, also came out of retirement to lead one of the teams.

The game was organized by the school’s ‘Cannoneer Club’ as a fundraiser.

The club, started by teacher Meghan Fronczek, aims to create a more positive culture and spirit within the school.

 
Throughout the year, student members raise funds to sponsor several events, such as their annual homecoming dance.
