Watervliet man accused of neglecting dog, abandoning body

Instead of getting help for a dog with a medical emergency, a man neglected it, and left it on the sidewalk after it died.

Justyce Matthew is now facing animal cruelty charges.

This happened outside a home on First Avenue.

Police arrived and found the 4-year-old bulldog’s body outside the home, they said.

Matthew was released on an appearance ticket.
