West Sand Lake man charged with DWI after crash

A West Sand Lake man was arrested on a drunken driving charge after a crash.

Joseph Coluccio’s car hit a utility pole just before 8 p.m. Wednesday and knocked down wires, investigators said.

The road was closed for several hours.

Coluccio had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.21%, according to police. That is nearly three times the legal limit. He’s due in court at a later date.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.
