Albany International Airport recognized for work helping passengers with disabilities
Albany International Airport is flying high on the honor it received Monday.
The airport become the first airport in the country and fourth worldwide to receive a new accessibility enhancement accreditation.
It’s the highest level in a program for helping passengers with disabilities fly.
The program launched last year, and looks to better help those flying with disability, both physical and non-apparent.
Other airports to receive the accreditation include Istanbul, Toronto, Montreal and Miami.
