Cardona’s Market is celebrating 80 years in business.

The Latham location held a massive challenge to celebrate its anniversary.

Cardona’s introduced “The Boss of Bosses” sandwich, an 8-pound sandwich consisting of chicken cutlets, eggplant cutlets, tomato, provolone, Italian meats, lettuce, and banana peppers all on a full loaf of Italian bread.

There were six celebrity contenders challenged to eat the entire sandwich in 30 minutes.

One of them was NewsChannel 13 producer Brandon Macey, who is also a professional competitive eater.

He came very close to finishing the sandwich before he ran out of time.

However, he ate the most out of everyone else who took on the challenge.
