Gore Mountain introduces new energy efficient snowmakers
National Grid has funded new, energy efficient snowmakers at Gore Mountain.
National Grid has funded new, energy efficient snowmakers at Gore Mountain.
The 136 energy efficient tower-mounted snow guns are able to produce more than 190 acre-feet of snow annually.
While producing the snow, the new equipment conserves enough energy to save $170,000 annually.
These new snow guns mean that Gore Mountain is able to use the same amount of energy it did 20 years ago at a facility three times the size.
