Hudson kid, 10, seeks votes in national mullet contest

A Hudson student is rocking the “business in the front, party in the back” hairstyle and is ready to compete on a national stage.

Louis Scoffier, 10, is going into fifth grade at Hudson City Schools. His dad, Richard, told NewsChannel 13 that for the second year in a row, he is participating in the Mullet Champ USA Mullet competition raising money for Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors.

He came in seventh out of 900 kids last year and was the second-highest fundraiser – raising more than $20,000.

He is asking for people to vote for him, which can be done once a day. The contest lasts until Aug. 21.
