A heroic sergeant was recognized for his work in a river rescue.
The Warren County Board of Supervisors honored Sergeant Rocky Girard in Queensbury on Friday.
We first brought you that story last month, First on 13.
Girard was driving near the Hudson River in Corinth, when he noticed two people clinging to a safety rope in the river.
He got out of his car and sprang into action, swimming out to save both.
