The Stick it to Cancer event raised more than 5,000 for two charities.

The boys’ hockey game between Saratoga Springs and Shenendehowa was held on Feb. 12 to raise money for two charities that help people, families and children battling cancer.

The Saratoga team wore pink jerseys and there were raffles, donations and a chance for fans to recognize people in their lives who are affected by cancer.

Saratoga beat Shen 4-1, but it was a winning night for all.

The money goes to Kelly’s Angels and the Live Like Liv Foundation
