Birthday ‘pawty’ at Impressions of Saratoga
There are plans for a birthday “pawty” at Impressions of Saratoga. The well-known shop celebrates the shop pups every March – Smalls, Cookie, Smitty, Pupa and Thatcher. The party is March 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Other dogs are welcome. Donations for local shelters will be collected.
Celebrating ‘National School Resource Officer Day’
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is sharing pictures from “National School Resource Officer Day” on Wednesday. The sheriff’s office says school resource deputies are carefully selected, trained, sworn-in officers assigned to work in schools. They serve the role of mentor and counselor along with being law enforcement officers.
Pet Boutique honored in Montgomery County
Montgomery County is honoring the Small Business of the Month: Miss Blue’s Pet Boutique. It opened in 2018 and has grown significantly. Besides grooming, Miss Blue’s has a wide selection of retail items and social events for your pup. They also have homemade doggy ice cream. Miss Blue’s Pet Boutique and Grooming is located on Bridge Street in Amsterdam.
800 crayons donated to Schenectady elementary school
Yates Elementary School in Schenectady just received 20 cases of 800 crayons for each classroom in the school. The Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties made the donation. The group was founded 90 years ago. It promotes volunteerism and helps women become leaders.
