Columbia Memorial Health is partnering with Greene County Rural Health Network to provide three ventilators to Greene County EMS. The lifesaving equipment will be placed in paramedic fly cars to help transport critical patients who need ventilation.

$50 dog adoptions

Thinking about adopting a dog? Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is holding a special adoption event this week. All dogs one year and older have $50 adoption fees.

Russell Sage commencement speaker

A New York Times bestselling author will deliver the commencement address at Russell Sage next month. Eddie Glaude is the author of “Begin Again: James Baldwin’s America and Its Urgent Lessons for Our Own.” He’s also the chair of the Department of African American Studies at Princeton. Russell Sage’s commencement is set for Saturday, May 13.

Woman honored by BOCES

Questar III BOCES has given a special honor to Patricia Wood. She’s the recipient of the 20th annual Lucius Cary Award for Service and Leadership. Wood has worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Rensselaer County Unified Services and as a social worker at Schodack Central School District. The award is named after former Questar III board member G. Lucius Cary and is considered the board’s highest honor.
