Patients at Albany Medical Center and St. Peter’s Hospital are waiting in the emergency room longer than nearly any other patients in the state.
That’s according to an analysis of federal data put together by Syracuse.com.
It found that out of 147 hospitals statewide, St. Peter’s Health Partners had longest average ER times between April 2021 and March 2022, with 349 minutes – nearly six hours.
Albany Medical Center was a close third with 316 minutes – just under five and a half hours.
That’s according to figures from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
