According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, just 37% of kids in the U.S. have received their flu shot. That’s down from the 43% around this time last year.

Around 205 kids died from the flu last season, a record number since before COVID, the CDC said.

Pediatricians are encouraging kids to get the flu vaccine this season, saying even if you do get the flu, the vaccine helps decrease the severity of your symptoms.
