Close windows, filter air to reduce allergy issues
Tips to reduce spring allergies
Spring officially begins Tuesday and while that means more sunlight and warmer weather, it can also cause seasonal allergies.
People with tree pollen allergies can experience watery eyes, sneezing and a stuffy nose.
An allergist for the Cleveland Clinic suggests that people should try using a nasal steroid or antihistamine. People should also stay inside on dry, windy days to decrease their exposure.
Keeping windows closed can also prevent pollen from entering the home. People should use their HVAC system to help filter the air.
Also, if they have pets that go outside, they should brush them off before they come back inside because pollen can collect on them.
If that doesn’t work, reach out to an allergist.
