Hundreds gather at Crowne Plaza Desmond to help fight multiple sclerosis

The Together for a Cure: MS Luncheon was held at the Crown Plaza Desmond Hotel in Colonie on Friday.
NewsChannel 13’s Ashley Miller was the emcee.
The attendees included people living with MS, caretakers, friends, doctors and advocates to raise money for the cause.
Formerly known as Women Against MS, The event has been taking place for more than 15 years, and this year was back in person after being virtual for two years during the pandemic.
Keynote speaker Victoria Reese shared her experience as a Black woman living with MS, and wants to expand awareness about the disease in the Black community.

Former NewsChannel 13 anchor Dr. Benita Zahn was honored with the “Cindy Martin Fighting Spirit Award” for her advocacy for people living with MS.
