Adolescent cannabis abuse in the United States has increased by 245% in the last 20 years.

That’s according to a study based on data reported to the National Poison Data System.

It found over 338,000 instances of abuse or misuse among children aged 6 to 18.

Cases remained relatively stable from 2000 to 2009, before dramatically going up from 2017 to 2020.

That dramatic uptick coincides with a wave of decriminalization legislation.
