The Capital Region had New York's third-largest annual gain in housing units in 2023, according to an analysis from the Center for Economic Growth. The number of housing units increased by nearly 3,000 units from 2022 to 2023 to more than 540,000 units. That's the biggest increase in the state outside of New York City and the Hudson Valley.

In the Capital Region, Saratoga County added the most housing units over the year, and more housing units are on the way.

Industrie Apartments, a five-story building under construction on Broadway, will bring 80 new units.

The apartments will be the first all-electric mid-rise multi-family building in the Capital Region, and it will be completed this year.
Its amenities will include a 24-hour fitness center, rooftop sky deck with an outdoor kitchen, a pet spa, private storage units, and onsite parking.
