Hiring is expected to remain strong in the Capital Region next year. That’s according to Alaant Workforce Solutions.
The firm’s hiring index is based on a survey of five Capital Region employers taken between November 9 and December 11.
It found 68% were very optimistic or optimistic about job growth, and 55% expect hiring to increase next year.
The survey also explains the biggest challenge remains a labor shortage, cited by 47% of employers, which more than doubled other contributing factors.
Many local employers are bumping up salaries in an effort to retain employees.
Working remotely is still popular. More than half of the employers surveyed say they have transitioned to and will remain, a hybrid or remote workplace.
