Cohoes man dies in Syracuse crash

A Cohoes man died in a crash in Syracuse.

Udayabhanu Anjanappilly, 44, was traveling on Interstate 690 East at around 4:39 a.m. on Monday, when he flipped his car onto his roof, the Syracuse Police Department said. The car was in several feet of water at the time.

Anjanappily was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was taken to Upstate Medical Center, where he died.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
