Survey: Halloween spending up this year
Halloween is right around the corner. According to some new numbers – despite high inflation – shoppers plan to spend about three times in holiday candy than last year!
RetailMeNot reports nationwide, most people spent dollar amounts around the mid-thirties for candy last year – and it’s bumped up to nearly $110 this year! That means shoppers are spending around 200% more this year.
RetailMeNot also conducted a poll for this year’s most popular candy.
Here are the results:
- Reese’s cups – 22%
- Kit Kat – 15%
- Snickers – 14%
- Hershey’s – 12%
- M&M’s – 10%
- Candy corn – 8%
- Skittles – 5%
- Starburst – 5%
- Twizzlers – 4%
