Troy man arrested for multiple burglaries in Brunswick
BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (WNYT)- Michael Monge, 40, of Troy was arrested May 29 by New York State Police for multiple burglaries that took place in Brunswick earlier in the year. State Police said Monge was linked to five burglaries in March and April.
March 11, State Police were called to an unnamed business in Brunswick for a burglary complaint. They said Monge had been at the business the night before the call, caused damage to the business and burglarized it.
They also claim that Monge stole items from the Aldi’s in Brunswick that same night, saying they received a call March 11 for reports of stolen merchandise at the store.
On March 14 and April 15, Monge allegedly tried to break several anti-theft devices unsuccessfully, damaging the devices at Brunswick Walmart.
On April 27 State Police were called to an unnamed Brunswick business that had been burglarized early that morning. Police said Monge had caused damage on the property trying to steal from it.
Monge was arraigned in Brunswick Town Court and brought there from Albany County Jail where he is being held for similar, unrelated charges.
