A serious motorcycle crash ended with a DUI arrest in Bennington County.
Officers said this crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Pownal. An SUV was heading southbound when a tire blew off, say investigators. That caused the driver to swerve into the other lane, hitting a man on a motorcycle.
The man on the motorcycle was 63-year-old Thomas Demichael. He was flown to Albany Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police arrested the driver of the SUV, Danny Main Jr. He faces charges of DUI resulting in a serious injury and driving with a suspended license, and was sent to Marble Valley Correctional Facility in Rutland.
