Virginia group works to get 9/11 flag adopted nationwide

This marks the 21st year since the September 11th terrorist attacks.
A group from Virginia is looking to make the “Freedom Flag” the official commemorative flag honoring the lives lost on that horrible day.
The Freedom Flag Foundation says Virginia was the first state in the country to adopt a symbol for 9/11. Now they want to spread that symbol across the country so people never forget.
The five white bars represents the attack on the Pentagon, the two broad red stripes represent the Twin Towers and the thin red and white stripes represent the lives of people and first responders lost in the attack.
