Scattered rain, snow for Saturday
Widespread rainfall continues as a storm system transfers its energy from the Great Lakes to a new center, south of Long Island by the end of the day. It will be damp and chilly with highs in the mid 40s. As colder air moves in overhead and at ground level, higher elevations will transition to wet snow by later tonight and into Friday, with temperatures falling to near freezing. Valley areas may see some wet snowflakes mix in but no accumulation is expected. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30s.
Friday and Saturday will stay unsettled with mostly cloudy skies and occasional rain and snow showers along with a breeze. Highs will be in the lower to mid 40s. It will stay in the 40s on Sunday with a mix of sun and clouds and a gusty wind.
Another fast moving system will bring us a shot of rain Monday night into Tuesday. This will be followed by much colder air for the middle of next week as we head towards Thanksgiving.
Have a great day!
