Albany Academies hosts First Tech Challenge Robotics Tournament
28 teams competed at the First Tech Challenge Robotics Tournament at the Albany Academies on Saturday.
Albany Academies hosted the First Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics Tournament on Saturday.
A total 28 teams competed to earn the chance to advance to the regional championships.
Tournament director John McNally said that “robotics is a team sport where we are presented with a challenge and a problem to solve. Students design, build and program robots to solve these problems and earn points.”
Student Alex Thompson said that he has “always loved STEM.” One of the reasons he joined the club is the fact he can contribute to the team but also the general community at FTC is just amazing.”
