Catskill High School students restore beloved bench
Catskill HS students Madison Jones and Ingris Martinez restored a bench belonging to a retired music teacher whose husband loved spending time on it.
CATSKILL, N.Y. (WNYT)- Two Catskill High School students spent weeks lovingly restoring an old bench for a retired music teacher from another district.
The bench was a favorite spot of the music teachers husband who would sit on it when the weather was good. When her husband died the bench fell into disrepair until she reached out to Catskill technology teacher Brian McDonnell.
Enter in high schoolers Madison Jones and Ingris Martinez, studying architecture and engineering, who worked together to restore the bench beloved by the retired teacher’s husband, and preserving it for years to come.
