Buskey is from Menands and is a junior at Colonie High School.
Buskey qualified for the 15 to 16-year-old high jump at the AAU Junior Olympics this summer, and he won with a jump of 6 feet, 9 inches.
The first day of school for Colonie High students was Thursday, which was also “Ryan Buskey Athletic Excellence Day.”
