Elementary students in Glenmont learning how to code robots

Glenmont Elementary School is taking part in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in a different and creative way.

The students learned how to code robots over the last two months.

Each robot was decorated with a special balloon created by the students.

The students were able to make their float glide down a parade route by using an iPad.

In addition to learning how to code the robots, the students have also read the book “Balloons Over Broadway” on the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
