New program will help address Saratoga County substance abuse in schools

Saratoga County is launching a new program to address substance abuse in Saratoga County schools.

The sheriff’s office and the Saratoga County Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services are partnering up.

They will work with school resource officers to help students who suffer from opioid or substance use disorders.

The program will connect struggling students with certified peer recovery advocates.
