The South Colonie Central School District announced Monday all students will receive free breakfast, and free lunch at school starting on Friday, Dec. 1.

This is made possible by the expansion to the Federal Community Eligibility Program, which aims to ensure every student has access to nutritious meals without any cost to their households.

However, students who bring a lunch from home will still need to buy milk separately. Students can also purchase second entrees, snacks or beverages.
