Saturday named a First Warning Alert Day
It will be mostly cloudy and dry for the rest of the day, with a brisk west wind. Temperatures will hover in the upper tees to near 20 for a while before dropping back tonight. It will remain mostly cloudy overnight with increasing wind. Lows will be in the teens with wind chills near zero through Tuesday morning.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly cloudy, windy and very cold with the chance of snow showers and flurries. Highs will be in the lower 20s with wind chill values closer to zero.
Friday will be dry with more sun and less wind. It will be more comfortable but still cold with highs in the upper 20s. A storm system will develop and head toward the mid-Atlantic coast on Saturday. If the storm tracks up the coast at this point, we will see snow in the Capital Region. If it stays well enough to our south, there will be a lower chance of snow. We will keep an eye on this disturbance as it develops as it would be our next chance of impactful snowfall.
Have a great evening!
