Suspect shot by Albany Police arraigned in officer stabbing case
A man who was shot after allegedly stabbing a police officer in Albany was arraigned on Tuesday morning.
A man who was shot after allegedly stabbing a police officer in Albany was arraigned on Tuesday morning.
Eric Frazier, 56, pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted murder in the first degree, one count of aggravated assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon, and one count attempted aggravated assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon.
Frazier was wanted on an outstanding warrant when they tried arresting him in 2022, police said. That’s when he allegedly stabbed an officer in the arm.
Frazier was shot in the chest.
He was sent to Albany County Jail without bail.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 9.
