25 years in prison for White Creek man who fired gun at state trooper
A Washington County man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for firing a shotgun at authorities last summer.
A jury convicted Matthew Parant in March of attempted second-degree murder.
It started with an argument Parant had with his landlord last July outside an old farmhouse in White Creek. Authorities were called to the scene, and the situation quickly escalated.
Parant fired at a state trooper and Washington County sheriff’s deputy.
