Saturday named a First Warning Alert Day

Rain continues this morning with a wintry mix developing in the mountains as the temperature drops throughout the morning. Showers taper and become scattered by this afternoon with mostly cloudy skies as our system gradually exits. Lake effect and upslope snow showers will develop outside of the valleys by this evening. It will become gusty with highs in the lows 40s.

We’ll start off the new year with near normal highs in the 30s on Thursday and Friday. Gusty west and northwest winds up to 45-55 mph will help usher in passing lake effect snow showers Thursday through Sunday. Colder air follows by the weekend with highs cooling down into the 20s.

Happy New Year!
