Schenectady woman charged in dog abandonment case in Albany
A woman from Schenectady has now been charged for allegedly abandoning her dog at a busy intersection.
Rachel Gibson was in Albany City Court Tuesday morning, after being accused of tying her dog to a tree near the intersection of New Karner Road and Old State Road last month.
When officers arrived at that intersection, they found the female pit bull mix tied to a tree without food or water.
Gibson has been charged with animal cruelty and abandonment of animals.
