The Vermont man accused of causing the death of his 2-year-old son in Berkshire County is asking for a bail reduction and conditional release. Darrel Galorenzo was back in court on Wednesday, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle reported.
His lawyer asked a judge to lower his bail from $250,000 to $25,000 wear a GPS device and be on house arrest, with the exception he be allowed to attend his son’s funeral.
Galorenzo was allegedly driving drunk last weekend, when he crashed his car in Clarksburg.
His 2-year-old son died after Galorenzo tried to run from the crash, and he lost the child in a brook, said police.
